Volvo’s 3 point seat belt turns 50
Nils Bohlin, Volvo Safety Engineer, designed the 3 point seat belt fifty years ago. The Volvo PV54 became the first car to have standard three point seat belts. This safety innovation has saved millions of lives and continues to be one of the most important safety features on any vehicle.
